Pawz 4 Life Animal Rescue Inc. is a Non Profit Corporation that is in the process of receiving a 501c3 status.

We are a NO KILL, All Breed Rescue that helps and adopts out both cats and dogs rescued from a variety of situations, located in Saginaw, Michigan. Our goal is to rescue and rehabilitate as many animals as we can and get them into their loving, life long homes, that they deserve.

We will continue to do so, one by one until there are none. Our rescue is operated by volunteers, and relys on donations of any kind, to help those animals that desperately need us.

I AM AN ANIMAL RESCUER

My job is to assist God’s creatures.

I was born with the need to fulfill there needs.

I take in new family members without plan, thought or selection.

I have bought dog food with my last dime.

I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand.

I have hugged someone vicious and afraid.

I have fallen in love a thousand times

and I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body.

I have Animal Friends and have friends who have animal friends.

I don’t often use the word “pet”.

I notice those lost at the road side

and my heart aches.

I will hand raise a field mouse

and make friends with a vulture.

I know of no creature unworthy of my time.

I want to live forever if there arn’t animals in Heaven,

but I believe there are.

Why would God make something so perfect and leave it behind?

We may be master of the animals,

but the animals have mastered themselves.

Something people still havn’t learned.

War and abuse makes me hurt for the world,

but a rescue that makes the news gives the hope for the mankind.

We are a quiet, but determined army

and making a difference everyday.

There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan.

Nothing more rewarding than saving a life.

No higher recognition than watching them thrive.

There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play

who only days ago was too weak to eat.

I am an Animal Rescuer.

is a very small rescue and is very limited on foster homes!!!!

We need your help to be able to help the cats & dogs who so desperetly need our help.

Due to the fact that we are the only cat/dog rescue in Saginaw, we are becoming very over whelmed with animals in need and our foster homes are completely filled. If you have a pit bull or pit bull mix, please keep trying other rescues or search for a shelter that will not euthanize due to there breed, as Saginaw will.

URGENT Donations, URGENT Donations

Donations needed for

Freia a sweet Pom pup that was hit by a car.

Freia's pelvis was broken and her left leg was also damaged.

Her pelvis is now healed and is able to have a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) to her left side which is a surgical procedure that removes the femoral head and neck from the femur.

PLEASE, PLEASE, we are in need of help. This surgery will be performed by an orthopedic surgeon. We are looking at about $1500.00.

PIT BULL OWNER!!!

**Have your pit spayed and neutered.

**DO NOT let your pit bull roam free, always know where your dog is and on a leash.

**Exercise, socialize and commit to your beloved pit bull as a member of your family.

**DO NOT fight your pit or taunt and or teach it to be aggressive.

**PLEASE REMEMBER, its up to ALL of us to make sure this breed is the best it can be at all times and to prove to everyone what a wonderful, loving and loyal family member they can really be!!

Beyond the Myth is a film about pit bulls and those who love and defend the breed. It explores the contributing factors behind the public's generalized fear of pit bulls and examines the conflict existing between advocates and opponents of Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). It also investigates the myths associated with the breed and asks the question, "What exactly is a pit bull"?

Supporters of BSL claim their goal is to put an end to dog attacks by targeting certain breeds of dogs that are "inherently vicious/dangerous" as well as dogs that tend to appeal to people who are involved in criminal activity, like drug dealers and dog fighters. Dog bite statistics published by the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) stating that pit bull "type" dogs are responsible for more fatal dog attacks than any other breed are routinely used to substantiate this argument.

Opponents of BSL believe that such laws are a demeaning overreaction perpetuated by media bias and claim that dog bite statistics are unreliable sources of information regarding the "viciousness" of a breed. They argue that BSL is unenforceable and ineffective, and that it fails to reduce the occurrence of dog attacks because it fails to address the root cause—people.

Instead of focusing on and punishing owners who are irresponsible and criminals who use their dogs for illegal purposes, legislatures choose to place their focus on the dogs, making them into scapegoats. Many opponents believe BSL is the equivalent of racial profiling and banning a breed is, quite possibly, unconstitutional.

Beyond the Myth challenges the idea that pit bulls are inherently vicious and goes one-on-one with people on both sides of this controversial issue.
